Primary 1 Admission

Children born between 2 January 2015 and 1 January 2016 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to for 2022 P1 Registration Exercise under Phase 3. Phase 3 is after all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents have been allocated a place under the earlier phases of the P1 Registration Exercise with the remaining vacancies open to international students.

Typically, year on year with the exception of Covid-19 period, the number of international students registering for the primary 1 is many times more than available vacancies. As a result, many students will fail to secure a spot.

To participate in Phase 3 of the P1 Registration Exercise, parents will need to do the following:

  • Step 1: Submit an online ‘indication of interest’ form via the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) P1 website in a given period in June the following year. You will need to prepare a few documents as part of the submission.
  • Step 2:  In October, the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) will notify you via email whether your child can be offered a P1 place in a primary school. If a place is offered by the end of October, you will be informed of how to register with the designated school. After registering at school, the school will inform you of the reporting day where you would need to bring along the outcome letter by MOE HQ and relevant documents for verification.
For more questions on Primary 1 registration, please send a text message to Josse or Helen.
